As I am based in Finland, we have a long period with very little light and colours. I have always felt that I need colours to cheer me up. My art is often about exactly that and also about expressing myself. Behind this piece, there is a story.  If you look carefully at this picture, you might see several kissing mouth marks. As one of my kids lives abroad, I wanted to send her a special congratulatory card on her birthday.  I got the idea to capture our family members' kisses on the paper, and from there, I built the figure.
